Brip-Africa was founded by Miriam Bracht in 2015 and launched itself in the foreign language and IT industry in Cape Town before merging with AKA to form ABC Worldwide in 2018.
As a member of APSO (Association of Personnel Service Organisations) AKA Recruitment International adheres to the national standard of professional conduct and is kept fully abreast with rapidly changing labour legislation and practice.
ABC Worldwide (Pty) Ltd is managed by Miriam Bracht who has overseen customer service teams at various corporate companies for the past 7 years and decided to applying her ideas and values to the recruitment world, being a partner for her clients as well as the candidates and help people grow. Prior to Miriam’s efforts and adventures in customer service, she has worked for big global companies in the fields of online marketing and news distribution, biotechnology as well as tourism.
Esther is an active Partner at ABC Worldwide. She was born in Koblenz, Germany, and moved to SA in 1998; she completed her studies at UCT (Bachelor of Psychology Honours and Organisational Psychology Honours). Thereafter, Esther joined a German BPO in Cape Town as Recruitment Manager, from where she moved to AKA Recruitment International as a consultant and eventually as owner before the merge with Brip-Africa in 2018. She is able to combine her passion for people with a keen interest in matching high caliber candidates with suitable client companies.
Yolanda Nkala has an impressive background ranging from 5 years experience in the hospitality field to 14 years of experience working in Recruitment handling Bulk and Specialist recruitment. In that time she worked as an Account manager handling Contingency Flexi staff, call centre agents, Team leaders and much more at a specialist agency. Her drive in her professional life is to understand her clients and candidates and make accurate placements to have an amazing working relationship with her clients and candidates. Integrity is what she lives for.
Michelle McLaren has recently joined the company to fulfil the role of Financial Manager and her years of expertise compliments to our team’s existing skill-set and goals. Although she is wired for accurate and structured strategies, she is also known for her enthusiastic and warm approach to her professional life. She feels very privileged to have had the opportunity to have grown up in the beautiful city of Cape Town, her Mother City. She looks forward to building rewarding, long-term working relationships, and to avidly assist clients and candidates in attaining their goals and objectives.
Amy Joy Raymond
Amy joined the team in 2015 as an Intern after obtaining her post graduate degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of the Western Cape. Born and raised in Cape Town, she has a passion for the recruitment industry and believes that ABC Worldwide will continue to play a pivotal role in the job market by helping candidates reach their potential and career goals. She quickly moved up the ranks and was eventually promoted to the Recruitment Consultant position. Amy has gained extensive experience in both local and international recruitment specifically relating to several areas including outsource centres, sales, finance and engineering sector.
Sibongile joined the team when the company was still BRIP in 2017 prior to the merge – as an assistant to the Managing Director. Familiar with the ethos of the company, her passion to succeed and growth within the company, fast tracked her to the position she now holds. Her warmth, tenacity and ambition has made her distinguishable to both the clients and candidates for her stellar work. She specializes in Bulk Recruitment for mainly Call Centre staff and various Senior Roles.
Rebeka joined the team in October 2016. Born in Congo, she relocated to Johannesburg with her family and moved to Cape Town where she was raised since a small child; She successfully completed her undergraduate degree in Bachelors in Administration at the University of the Western Cape. Her specific interests lie in administration and management. Rebeka is passionate about the recruitment industry and believes that administration plays a big role in this business, without monitoring and organising, it will not function in a perfect sequence. She is happy to be part of a growing work environment and the team!
